At Spot on, dog boarding takes place in the farmhouse of the family home. For an owner weighing up a household setting, that is the defining feature of the stay. Dog walking is also offered; the wider range of services includes cat sitting and care packages for horses and farm animals.
Spot on is in Diptford, a village in the rural South Hams area of south Devon. The River Avon marks the parish’s western boundary, and several smaller settlements lie within the parish alongside Diptford. Farming is part of the area’s history, as are slate and limestone production in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
