At Wayside in Meppershall, dogs have individually heated kennels with their own outdoor runs, alongside at least two exercise and play sessions a day in a large paddock. Cats stay in individually heated accommodation and have individual feeding times; double pens are available for larger families boarding together.

Meppershall stretches along a ridge in the Bedfordshire clay hills, with rolling farmland and scattered small woods around the village. Its church and the remains of a motte-and-bailey castle stand on higher ground, adding to the character of this ridge-top settlement.
