For a dog whose owner prefers a home-boarding arrangement to a conventional kennel, Horwood Hounds offers dog care and home boarding in Great Horwood. The home-based format gives owners a different kind of setting to consider when planning a stay for their dog. Horwood Hounds cannot board male dogs that have not been neutered.
Great Horwood lies in the northern part of Aylesbury Vale, in Buckinghamshire. The village occupies higher ground than the land beside the streams to its north and south; the parish also includes Singleborough, a hamlet north of the village. A remnant of Whaddon Chase woodland survives in the northeastern part of the parish.
