Silsden lies beside the Leeds–Liverpool Canal, just north of the River Aire, with fields and pasture around the town. The surrounding landscape includes undulating ground, trees, hedges and dry-stone walls. In this part of West Yorkshire, Delph Feline Retreat provides purpose-built boarding accommodation for cats.
The cattery has 34 chalets for one or two cats, as well as several family chalets. Every chalet has a window and over-bed heating for colder days and nights. Cat toys, scratching facilities, platforms, ropes and tunnels are among its features; medication can also be administered according to veterinary instructions. The choice between chalets for one or two cats and family chalets may be useful when arranging a stay for multiple cats.
