Boothwood Cattery — Boarding Kennel

At Boothwood Cattery, dogs and cats have separate types of accommodation. Each dog kennel has an indoor sleeping area, heated in winter, opening onto its own outdoor run. Dogs are exercised twice a day on the business’s half-acre field, giving their stay a regular outdoor routine.

The business is in Rishworth, part of the Ripponden local centre in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. The surrounding landscape includes elevated slopes, fields bounded by stone walls and scattered rural buildings. Old quarries, pits and water-linked mills reflect the area’s industrial past.

For cats, the cattery pens are warm in winter and air-conditioned in summer. Pens, corridors and outdoor areas are cleaned with disinfectant, and each cat receives clean bedding and its own litter tray daily. The cattery stocks dry and wet food and can administer medication or prescription diets supplied by the cat’s owner.
