At Arklow for Dogs and Cats, dogs have grass and covered areas for exercise and play with staff. Dogs from separate households are kept apart while exercising, although they can see one another from adjacent areas. Their supplied veterinary-fleece bedding is laundered and sanitised daily.
For cats, the cabins have attached exercise areas, with glass dividers allowing sight of neighbouring cats without physical contact. Each cabin has its own heating, along with a ladder, scratching pad and toys; veterinary-fleece cat bedding is washed and sanitised regularly.
Arklow is in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, where Stone Meadow lies on the River Misbourne’s floodplain. The village’s parish church has Norman architecture and origins dating to the 12th century.
